Rajant Names Chris Mason Director of Sales for EMEA Region

Rajant, the pioneer of innovative mobile mesh technology for private wireless networks, announced today the appointment of Chris Mason as Director of Sales for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Rajant makes mobile, scalable and highly reliable kinetic wireless mesh network technology, which provides an always-on communications network so critical applications can be accessed in real time.

Mason brings more than 30 years of Information Communications Technology (ICT) experience to Rajant, specifically in radio solutions. In his new position, Mason will work with distributors, resellers, and end-users to advance and increase distribution of Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh Network technology overseas.

“Chris’ background aligns perfectly with our value proposition of delivering pervasive, multi-frequency wireless solutions to organizations seeking to maximize their network infrastructures,” said Bob Schena, Chairman and CEO of Rajant. “Rajant is changing the way organizations use mobile networks, and Chris will guide our initiatives in the EMEA region.”

Prior to joining Rajant, Mason worked with British Telecom (BT) in a variety of sales, business development and management roles to help worldwide organizations identify IT solutions for common business challenges. Mason also has experience with the United Kingdom’s Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) network for the Emergency Services and the Ministry of Defence.

“There are huge opportunities for growth in our overseas markets,” Mason said. “Rajant is already very successful in the mining and oil industries across the world, but it’s the adjacent areas where Rajant’s Kinetic Mesh capabilities are very strong, specifically in public safety, security, municipality and transportation applications. I will be targeting those sectors, working closely with our partners to establish always-on, resilient and reliable communications.”

Mason earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Science in Telecommunications Business from University College London. He is an active member of the Institute of Directors.
