Rajant was founded two decades ago on a vision…

Rajant was formed from a vision for a more robust, fully mobile mesh network technology, at a time when demand was growing for a reliable, wireless broadband network that could operate in mission-critical applications.
By complementing either satellite or microwave link, and providing resilient, self-healing broadband connectivity, Kinetic Mesh ensures safety and survival in remote battlefield operations. BreadCrumbs for the U.S. Military are National Security Agency (NSA)-certified to deliver secure, resilient, fully mobile wireless communications.
Rajant established portable wireless networks in Phuket, Thailand to aid disaster relief. The network allowed the refugee camp and medical administrators to access the internet and make VoIP calls globally to search for lost loved ones. This also assisted the identification and reclamation center in sending DNA out for body identification.
The BreadCrumb ME is the smallest and lightest BreadCrumb device offered, making it ideal for deployments with strict size and/or weight constraints. The BreadCrumb ME only contains one radio by default.
A Rajant team deployed wireless connectivity at Touro Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. The network allowed staff to help reboot their IT systems that had been disconnected and provide communication channels to treat patients. In Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Rajant set up internet access connectivity and VoIP calling services for first responders.
The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) helps communities and citizens mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other human-made disasters.
Kennecott Copper Mine was Rajant’s first significant installation in the mining industry, and included a large number of BreadCrumbs to enable loader trucks, shovels, pumps, and laptops to communicate with each other in real-time.
The ME2 is a portable battery-operated wireless mesh network node that supports open-standard IEEE 802.11 b/g protocols to enable data, voice and video applications. This device supports FIPS 140-2 and requires only a single switch to operate.
The Rajant BreadCrumb LX is a rugged, multi-radio, wireless transceiver that forms a mesh network (using InstaMesh®) when used in conjunction with other BreadCrumb devices. This portable, wireless mesh network node can operate in extreme conditions and has several mounting options.
IOC is a supplier and producer of iron ore pellets and concentrates, one of the world’s largest. With extreme weather conditions they demanded a network that handles challenging environments.
Together, the companies deployed a wireless mesh network for Peabody Energy’s El Segundo Mine in New Mexico. Peabody Energy is the largest private coal company in the world.
The Rajant BreadCrumb ME3 is a man-packable, battery-operated portable transceiver designed to support applications that require quick network connectivity. The ME3 includes a faster processor than its predecessor, the BreadCrumb ME2, and an N-Type antenna connector.
Rajant’s first lightweight wireless mesh network node is ideal to be mounted on people and equipment in the field. Although not intended for infrastructure, the JR can be combined with Rajant’s LX and ME models to form a complete meshing solution.
Rajant’s technology is installed in C-RAM systems at forwarding operating bases (FOB). C-RAM systems are used to detect incoming rockets and artillery and mortars, warn those in the area, and sometimes destroy those weapons. Reliable mesh networks are used to communicate warnings to alarm towers.
LX4 is a rugged wireless transceiver that holds between two and four radios, and that forms a mesh network when used with other BreadCrumbs.

Rajant celebrates ten years of providing robust mesh technology used around the world and across a broad array of industries, including military, industrial, transportation, utilities, telecommunications, and all levels of governments.
Rajant was honored for high quality and services provided to Northrop Grumman’s commercial and government customers.

Rajant is recognized with the Enabling Technology Leadership Award in Mesh Networking Solutions for the Industrial Environment, for being innovative and blazing the trail for new technologies that customers value.
Through the program, Rajant aims to work with distributors, resellers, and integrators to expand wireless networking solutions to new verticals worldwide.
The Partner Summit and Charity Golf Tournament is a great opportunity to meet and socialize with Rajant and fellow resellers to discuss new technologies and recommended best practices. The top 3 winners of the tournament have donations made to the PA Wounded Warriors in their name.
ME4 MIMO products receives CE conformity marks, allowing Rajant to expand into new markets such as European Union and UK. The C1D1 enclosures offer a special solution for hazardous locations in the Oil & Gas industry.
The new facility is home to the information assurance team which ensures technology is built with advanced security measures.
Rajant is recognized for our Kinetic Mesh network, which provides a cost-effective and fully mobile wireless network in the most challenging environments.
This product allows Wi-Fi connectivity on construction job sites to have scalability, high speed data, and mobility. As the jobsite changes and progresses, the Jobsite WiFi Access Points self-heal and adapt, retaining connectivity on site and helping to keep users connected to their data.
The 9,600 square foot building located on Main Street creates 28 jobs. Most employees are recent graduates from Morehead State University. The expansion allows for a partnership with Morehead’s nationally acclaimed Space Science Center.
The move to a 28,000-square-foot building mimics global expansion as a company and offers a larger space for community involvement. The building features a Prototype Development Room and an Open Lab for compliance and thermal testing.
DP World Antwerp selects BT’s wireless communication solution based on Rajant’s scalable and reliable Kinetic Mesh. This network allows all assets in the port to communicate using real-time data to keep operations running efficiently.
The certification demonstrates Rajant’s compliance at the Morehead, Kentucky facility with the production, technical support, and manufacturing of secure network radios.
The KM3 BreadCrumb is a non-ruggedized version of Rajant’s ME4, with the same performance and features but without the IP67 housing and operating at a lower temperature range.

Rajant has received Lean Six Sigma certification for eight Morehead-based employees following an eleven-month process. The goal of receiving Lean Six Sigma certification is to eliminate waste and optimize efficiency in all of Rajant’s Morehead, Kentucky, business facets while maximizing the value of its products to customers with the lowest possible investment.
A total of 100 companies earned this distinction in this 17th annual program and are categorized by the size of Kentucky-based staff. The selection process is based on an assessment of the company’s employee policies and procedures and the results of an internal employee survey.

The Rajant Cardinal is a credit card-sized dual-radio, making it the smallest within the portfolio. The Cardinal improves Wi-Fi and LTE for fully mobile M2M communications for use in warehouse automation, drones, and robotics.
This portable mesh network node contains two transceivers with up to four external antenna ports. It provides Ethernet and Wi-Fi access point interfaces to enable data, voice, and video applications with multiple mounting options.
After extensive testing, Caterpillar Inc. has completed the in-house validation of Rajant BreadCrumbs®, LX5 CA radios, which will enable field trials with this Rajant product and Cat® MineStar™ Command for hauling.
Platform-as-a-Service is being debuted by Rajant Health Incorporated (RHI), a division of Rajant that is developing cutting-edge technology to provide health insights on-demand.
Rajant, Crossover, Sonim, and Mutualink partnership brings a collaborative technology for digital voice and high-speed data to underground mining at the working face. The proof-of-concept testing was done at Canada’s NORCAT Underground Centre.
Success of Rajant’s Reios suite of IoT solutions with leading Italian manufacturer Mirato, a maker of personal hygiene products, is published. Improvements in energy efficiency and safety, along with optimized vehicle utilization within plant operations, were experienced using Reios Smart Lighting industrial LED lamps for lower energy consumption and Reios sTrack to monitor vehicles and people.
Assisting the entire team with the validation of the installation, configuration, and ramp-up of the testing phase was a highly rewarding experience. Through this project, I gained valuable insights into rail operations, which became a key learning opportunity for me. Additionally, I contributed to the delivery of training during the implementation phase, as part of the Sales Engineering team’s responsibilities.
