Giving Back: Rajant’s World Music Benefit

The Rajant team is eagerly gearing up for our fourth annual Rajant World Music Benefit, which will take place at World Café Live in Philadelphia on October 26th from 6 PM to 10 PM ET.

This star-studded event comes with an important purpose: to raise money that benefits children in pediatric care. In cooperation with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), our goal is to raise $100K for patients with life-threatening heart and lung problems.

All donations and proceeds will go to the ECMO Center at CHOP, which provides children with extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), an advanced life support technique that gives patients long-term breathing and heart support.

Supporting Children

Giving back is part of our purpose at Rajant. Through trustworthy communications in dangerous working conditions, our technology brings more workers safely home at the end of their shifts. But children hold a special place in our hearts.

Just this summer during our annual All Hands event, the Rajant team donated their time to build bicycles and write inspirational messages to deliver to the East Whiteland Police Department in Frazer, Pennsylvania. From there, these bicycles went to children in need.

The World Music Benefit is one more way we’re thrilled to be able to support local children, and we’re eager to do this on behalf of CHOP.

The Advantages of a Children’s Hospital

One of the great advantages of children’s hospitals is that they are completely set up for young patients. That’s what they do, and that’s who they see, so their approach is through the eyes of a child. Physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, residents, pharmacists, and nurses are specially trained and well-versed in pediatric diseases, proper dosing of young children, baby supplies, and care of young bodies. Staff also understand the emotional problems of young patients and their families and know ways to reduce anxiety.

The kid focus at pediatric hospitals is usually reflected in the atmosphere. Many pride themselves on having a whimsical, cheery décor. You might see aquariums, skylights, toys, games, computers—all designed to be a distraction from the rigors of being hospitalized. In fact, all hospitals try to make their children’s wing look fun and child-friendly, but the whole place is like that in children’s hospitals.

About Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

When it was time for our team to find an organization to dedicate our World Music Benefit towards, selecting CHOP was an easy decision.

Just a half-hour away from Rajant headquarters, CHOP is the nation’s first hospital devoted to children’s care. Founded in 1855, CHOP has saved countless children’s lives, earning the hospital a well-deserved spot on the U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll of the best children’s hospitals in the United States.

CHOP staff work tirelessly to support children and their families during the most trying times. More than 20,000 hospital employees work daily toward their shared goal: to make breakthroughs for children. They provide intensive medical care and conduct research that improves the quality of life for many children daily.

CHOP is an incredible organization that is so close to home for us at Rajant, and we’re honored to work on behalf of them to help with their mission to make life better for the children who need it most.

Participating Bands and Artists

We’re excited to host four talented groups of bands and singers who are guaranteed to make this year’s event memorable. They shared a few words with us about why participating in this event was so important for them.

The Mavericks

“We’re honored to perform at the Rajant World Music Benefit this October to support Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The hospital’s lifesaving work and its focus on specialized treatments for children most in need is a cause we can all rally behind. Get your tickets now, and we’ll see you this fall!”

The No Name Pops’ Matt Koveal

“We are truly privileged to join forces with Rajant, as we share a common enthusiasm for bringing music to the community. The No Name Pops feel a deep sense of pride in contributing our time and services to perform for CHOP—an incredibly deserving institution.”

Tequila Rock Revolution’s Haydn Vitera

“We are honored and excited to return to Philadelphia for our second Rajant World Music Benefit performance! It is truly a privilege to make music supporting CHOP and its life-saving efforts for so many children.”

James Valenti

“I am thrilled and honored to offer my voice to help raise money for CHOP. I went to graduate school in Philadelphia, and the city is very close to my heart. I plan to sing some beloved Italian songs and arias and bring some sunshine to the event. Rajant does such important work for the community, and we had a successful event last year for UNICEF.”

Learn More and Participate

To date, Rajant and its generous donors have raised $200K+ during previous World Music Benefit events. We’re eager to achieve this year’s $100K goal with the help of our sponsors, donors, and event attendees.
