9/11 Revealed Crucial Shortcomings in Traditional Wireless Networks
9/11 was the deadliest terrorist attack in the U.S., and it quickly sparked change. The importance of a fully mobile wireless network system was evident, especially for first responders in times of crisis.

Rajant is Founded by Robert Schena and Paul Hellhake
Rajant was formed from a vision for a more robust, fully mobile mesh network technology, at a time when demand was growing for a reliable, wireless broadband network that could operate in mission-critical applications.
Rajant Military Partnership Begins
By complementing either satellite or microwave link, and providing resilient, self-healing broadband connectivity, Kinetic Mesh ensures safety and survival in remote battlefield operations. BreadCrumbs for the U.S. Military are National Security Agency (NSA)-certified to deliver secure, resilient, fully mobile wireless communications.

Rajant Aids in Tsunami Disaster Relief
Rajant established portable wireless networks in Phuket, Thailand to aid disaster relief. The network allowed the refugee camp and medical administrators to access the internet and make VoIP calls globally to search for lost loved ones. This also assisted the identification and reclamation center in sending DNA out for body identification.

Rajant Launches the BreadCrumb ME
The BreadCrumb ME is the smallest and lightest BreadCrumb device offered, making it ideal for deployments with strict size and/or weight constraints. The BreadCrumb ME only contains one radio by default.

Rajant Assists in Hurricane Katrina Relief Effort
A Rajant team deployed wireless connectivity at Touro Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana. The network allowed staff to help reboot their IT systems that had been disconnected and provide communication channels to treat patients. In Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, Rajant set up internet access connectivity and VoIP calling services for first responders.

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) helps communities and citizens mitigate against, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies including natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other human-made disasters.

Rajant Selected by Rio Tinto’s Kennecott Mine to Increase Efficiency & Production
Kennecott Copper Mine was Rajant’s first significant installation in the mining industry, and included a large number of BreadCrumbs to enable loader trucks, shovels, pumps, and laptops to communicate with each other in real-time.

Rajant Launches the BreadCrumb ME2
The ME2 is a portable battery-operated wireless mesh network node that supports open-standard IEEE 802.11 b/g protocols to enable data, voice and video applications. This device supports FIPS 140-2 and requires only a single switch to operate.

Rajant Launches the BreadCrumb LX
The Rajant BreadCrumb LX is a rugged, multi-radio, wireless transceiver that forms a mesh network (using InstaMesh®) when used in conjunction with other BreadCrumb devices. This portable, wireless mesh network node can operate in extreme conditions and has several mounting options.

Iron Ore Company of Canada Handpicks Rajant for Mine-Wide Wireless Communications
IOC is a supplier and producer of iron ore pellets and concentrates, one of the world’s largest. With extreme weather conditions they demanded a network that handles challenging environments.

Rajant and Wagner Equipment Ink Deal to Provide Kinetic Mesh for Peabody El Segundo Mine
Together, the companies deployed a wireless mesh network for Peabody Energy’s El Segundo Mine in New Mexico. Peabody Energy is the largest private coal company in the world.

Rajant Launches the BreadCrumb ME3
The Rajant BreadCrumb ME3 is a man-packable, battery-operated portable transceiver designed to support applications that require quick network connectivity. The ME3 includes a faster processor than its predecessor, the BreadCrumb ME2, and an N-Type antenna connector.

Rajant Launches the BreadCrumb JR
Rajant’s first lightweight wireless mesh network node is ideal to be mounted on people and equipment in the field. Although not intended for infrastructure, the JR can be combined with Rajant’s LX and ME models to form a complete meshing solution.

Northrop Grumman Includes Rajant’s Technology in Military C-RAM Contract
Rajant’s technology is installed in C-RAM systems at forwarding operating bases (FOB). C-RAM systems are used to detect incoming rockets and artillery and mortars, warn those in the area, and sometimes destroy those weapons. Reliable mesh networks are used to communicate warnings to alarm towers.

Rajant Opens a Manufacturing Facility in Morehead, Kentucky
The 9,600 square foot building located on Main Street creates 28 jobs. Most employees are recent graduates from Morehead State University. The expansion allows for a partnership with Morehead's nationally acclaimed Space Science Center.

This product allows Wi-Fi connectivity on construction job sites to have scalability, high speed data, and mobility. As the jobsite changes and progresses, the Jobsite WiFi Access Points self-heal and adapt, retaining connectivity on site and helping to keep users connected to their data.
